Graduating with distinction from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and London’s National Opera studios Elin has gone on to win admiration for her both her vocal and dramatic ability; crafting fully rounded characters fit for a 21st century operatic audience.
Her acclaimed roles include Micaela in Carmen and Mimi / La Boheme for Welsh National Opera, Rusalka for Garsington Opera and Edinburgh International Festival, Musetta and Ofglen / The Handmaids Tale for English National Opera, Vixen / The Cunning Little Vixen, Kupava / The Snow Maiden, Nedda / I Pagliacci and Flowermaiden / Parsifal for Opera North, Manon Lescaut and Alice / Falstaff at The Grange Festival. Elin Pritchard sings regularly in concert, her repertoire including Beethoven Symphony No. 9 with the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra, Bruckner Mass in F Minor, Brahms Requiem, Dvorak Te Deum, Fauré Requiem, Gounod Messe Solennelle, Haydn St Nicholas with English Chamber Orchestra, Mahler Symphony No4, Mendelssohn Elijah, Mozart Coronation Mass, Mass in C Minor and Requiem, Poulenc Gloria with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Vaughan Williams Sea Symphony and Verdi Requiem.
Next season Elin will return to Mid Wales Opera to sing Nedda / I Pagliacci and will be making her debut for Grange Park Opera singing Amelia Grimaldi in Simon Boccanegra alongside Sir Simon Keenlyside. Also next season will see Elin’s first operatic film role in the Welsh opera Un Nôs Olau Leuad which will be broadcast on major UK and International platforms.
